The Air Force HQ (23rd) said that Sergeant Ye crashed his own car into a streetlight in Hualian military compound at 0800 on Jan 22nd. He has gone back to his unit after medical attention.

The Air Force HQ indicated that through the investigation Sergeant Ye was found drunken in the last night (21st) supper outside the military compound and after return by taxi he drove and crashed his own car into a streetlight as a result of unstable consciousness caused by alcoholic residual.

The Air Force HQ emphasized that “Armed Forces Punishment Act” would be applied to this case and the relevant educations of “Alcoholic Residual” and “Traffic Safety” would also be re-addressed for prevention.
